Ethan was born and raised in the Town of Stockholm. After finishing high school in 1998, he began his career farming where he developed an appreciation for cattle and various forms of farming equipment. It was in these early years that he learned the value of an honest and hard day’s work which has followed him throughout his career.
Eventually Ethan found himself in the residential and commercial construction industry. It was here that Ethan was able to hone such skills as blueprint reading, plumbing, and electrical. After a few years Ethan broke into the HVAC field where he specialized in larger scale commercial projects and fabrication.
Most recently, prior to being appointed Highway Superintendent, Ethan was employed at the St. Lawrence County Highway Department. At the County, Ethan did everything from snow and ice removal, bridge demolition and construction, and heavy highway construction and maintenance. With over 25 years of experience in the construction industry and 10 of it being heavy highway construction, Ethan brings with him numerous certifications. Ethan is a NYS Certified Sanitary and Food Grade Tig Welder, licensed in Universal Refrigeration, a Certified Flexible Gas Line Installer, ATF High Explosives Certified, OSHA 10 and CPR certified, MSHAW certified, a certified Flagger through St. Lawrence County, and holds a NYS Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
Ethan currently resides in Winthrop with his wife Sara who is an Accounting Manager with Cornerstone Services and his daughters Baylee and Lynnsay. He also has two adult daughters, Morgan and Madisyn, and is the proud Grandpa to Carson and Carter.
In his spare time, Ethan enjoys hobby farming with his family, restoring antique farm equipment, hunting, fishing and just about any other outdoor activity.
